Some might say that a festival just wouldn’t be a festival without a pint in hand… so propping up the bar once again are our good friends and main sponsors at Ringwood Brewery. Self-proclaimed ‘Relaxation Enthusiasts’, these local brewers are specialists in quality craft ales and having a good time – and they’re only down the road!

Established in the local town of Ringwood, their famous BoonDoggle, Forty Niner and Old Thumper can now be found across the South West. This year we’re especially proud to work with them as they celebrate their 40th anniversary of brewing quality craft ales.

Brewery founder Peter Austin is renowned in the industry as the ‘father of British micro-brewing’ and has taken the company from strength to strength since 1978 – they are now able to produce circa 40,000 barrels! Over the Seafood Festival weekend, Ringwood will be providing the three main event bars to kindly assist with our own relaxation in the sun.

Razorback re-brand: a fresh face for an old favourite. Ringwood have recently re-branded their classic ‘Best Bitter’ for new ale drinkers, calling it ‘Razorback’ in homage to the distinctive boar we see on the brand logo. (The distinctive design we rather like the look of actually, and it turns out you can get it on a t-shirt).

All Ringwood’s finest will be available at this year’s Seafood Festival to wash down the fabulous food on offer. Which is your favourite?

The brewery crew will also be running another competition this year after the great success of last summer’s ale naming contest. Fish and Sips anyone?

Votes will be cast this year to crown the people’s favourite Ringwood beer (how can we possible choose!?), with limited edition 40th anniversary merchandise and ‘beer for a year’ prizes on offer.
