We’re just a few weeks away from the 3rd Lymington Seafood Festival and whilst we can’t control the weather, we can promise you the most exciting array of marine delicacies yet!

Thanks to everyone’s support the last two years and having a stunning location with views across the Solent estuary, the event starting to get a bit of a reputation as a ‘foodie’s paradise’ and this year we have some claw-crackingly brilliant food on show.

We’ve scouted some of the best producers from around the south coast with cuisines from Japan, Tibet, Spain, Greece, China, Mexico, Italy France, America, Hawaii, and of course some good old fashioned British classics.

Wherever you’ve been on holiday the past few years there’s probably a dish to bring back those memories of watching the sun set, cold beer or glass of wine in hand whilst getting stuck into the local grub.

With around 86 stands nestled into Bath Road Park, here’s just a taster of what to expect!

Crab Mac ‘n’ cheese, monkfish, oysters (in a variety of ways), giant garlic buttered prawns, salt & pepper calamari, mussels, winkles, cockles, Paella, hot smoked salmon, crab fritters, scallops, whitebait, Asian style dumplings, sushi, sashimi, poke bowls, donburi and of course classic fish & chips……..plus a whole lot more!

Okay, we also get that for some people a tin of tuna is about as far as the palette goes. So, in the spirit of keeping friends or family together and not causing arguments or people bringing in their own warm cheese rolls, we’ve added a few stands for both carnivores, vegetarians and vegans…..yup, even Lymington is going a bit ‘woke’!

For those with a sweet tooth or needing a little sugar ‘pick me up’ around mid-afternoon, there’ll be freshly cooked Churros, Mojito and Pina Colada iced lollies, sweet crepes, vegan brownies and the best ice cream from Purbeck.

The Festival wouldn’t be complete without a drink or three, so we’ve got that covered too. If it’s award winning English sparkling wine Exton Park Vineyard is the place to visit and their Brut Reserve NV is stunning. Perhaps even a notch above is their gold medal winning Rose NV.

Ringwood Brewery have again created a special festival ale named Shoreline. For gin lovers no doubt you’ll be drawn to the alchemy of Conker Spirit and trying new their new serves. Our friends at Solent Cellar are no doubt planning a fabulous array of wines from around the world, there’s Pimm’s and of course the team at Roots and Fruits on hand a thirst quenching fresh juice helping you sneak in one of those all important “5-a-day”!!

If that’s not enough to excite your taste buds, then I suggest dialling a Dominos!

Come hungry, see you there.
