Continuing to show its support for enterprise and local businesses, Eric Robinson Solicitors is delighted to be sponsoring Lymington\u2019s first Seafood Festival and to help further promote the event, a giant topiary crab has been unveiled at the New Forest Show this week. All it needs is a name and Eric \u2018the Owl\u2019 wants your help!<\/p>\n
Lymington Seafood Festival organisers have enlisted the help of one of Hampshire\u2019s leading law firms to help launch and find a name for their giant crab. People attending the show or followers of Eric Robinson or the Lymington Seafood Festival are being asked to help give a name to the giant crab via social media. Simply use the hashtags #lymingtonseafoodfestival #namethecrab to vote and you\u2019ll have a chance of winning a family ticket to Paultons Park!<\/p>\n
The crab, measuring 9ft high and almost 3ft wide was produced by Agrumi, a Tiptoe based business who specialise in amazing bespoke topiary sculptures. It will be auctioned with the help of Matt Cornwell, a member of the LandRover BAR team who will be attending over the Festival weekend. Along with around 11 other prizes, generously donated by local businesses, the event will be raising money for the Blue Marine Foundation\u2019s Solent Oyster Restoration Project.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the launch of the Crab, David Lawrence, a Partner at Eric Robinson Solicitors who heads up their Lymington office said: \u2018We always do our best to support local people and business enterprise. Helping to raise awareness of the Lymington Seafood Festival by launching the \u2018name the Crab\u2019 campaign is a wonderful way to promote the event. The fact we have our own life-sized owl called Eric makes it even more fun and we hope everyone at the New Forest Show will join in via social media.\u201d<\/p>\n
With the excitement is building for the first Lymington Seafood Festival, which takes place on the 12th<\/sup> and 13th<\/sup> August at Bath Road Park, the giant crab is one of a number of fun things happening during the event. With over 50 artisan producers selling over 100 different types of food, great live music and some of the region\u2019s leading chefs on stage in the Festival\u2019s demonstration kitchen, event organisers at Lighthouse Marketing are hoping this will be an event that benefits the whole community.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had the idea last August and with the help of leading businesses like Eric Robinson we\u2019ve turned a thought into something that will hopefully be a part of the annual foodie calendar for the area.\u201d just over two Commented festival organiser Richard Nowell.<\/p>\n \u201cThere has been an overwhelming response from local businesses and the regions wonderful food producers, many of whom have donated prizes that can be won either through naming the crab, buying raffle tickets or, for the brave getting involved on the main prize auction over the weekend.
